Little Raphie

Sunday, December 1st, 2013

We were all excited at Juneth’s baby shower about the big day when Raph would come into this world.

I was even more excited when Juneth and James asked me to take some newborn photos, just one week after he was born.

A beautiful baby for two beautiful and very proud parents.

This is my fav…

Round she goes…

Saturday, November 30th, 2013

I popped in to check out the “Round she goes” vintage market at Marrickville town hall a couple of months back.

I only just recently realised that my pic turned up in the paper!

Chooks, a cool shed and lots of LOVE

Thursday, October 3rd, 2013

We met up with Mel & Ben for their pre-wedding shoot in the coastal town of Newcastle.

I was particularly interested in capturing our couple in the crazy special “sail building” shed, hidden down the back of their yard.

Ben tells us that the shed will become his “man cave”, once refurbished.  Personally I think it would make a perfect location for wedding pics…

We tried to coax the chooks into the shoot as a supporting cast.

They were typical divas.

It is clear from the photos that Mel & Ben are very much in LOVE and are very happy.

Congratulations guys!

Day Glo

Friday, September 13th, 2013

Yep.

It’s a straight up homage to the eighties.

Evette and Olivia wanted to inject some extra colour into the marketing for their vibrant personal training business, Fluro Fitness.

You know what they say… Girls (really do)  just want to have fun!

Everist.

Tuesday, September 10th, 2013

Everist is Sydney based music artist, Luke James.

When Luke approached Elixir Photography for promotional images he said he was looking to capture a variety of ideas, in order to choose what best reflected his style.

We shot on a warm winter afternoon, accompanied by old school rock and cheeky beers.

Baby Love

Friday, August 30th, 2013

I know it’s been a while since I have posted. It’s because I have been super busy and that’s great, right?

I have been dying to share a selection of images from Juneth’s amazing baby shower, so here they are!

We are just thrilled for Juneth & James and can’t wait to meet little Raphael.

xx

A Sunday afternoon with new friends

Friday, March 29th, 2013

Its amazing who you meet in the park…

I was “on assignment” when I ran into a couple of super cool ladies in the park, looking to capture some awesome photos on a glorious day in Sydney.

Flick was interested in trying new things and I had a few tools in my kit that proved very helpful.

It was a wonderful collaborative afternoon and we plan to work together on future projects, so stay tuned!

Shoot yourself

Saturday, February 23rd, 2013

Okay, so you hear it from all sides, apparently the toughest challenge for a photographer is to turn the camera on yourself? what! Really!?

You betcha.

Sarah Lando made me do it :

Go on, try it and let me know if you need any tips on the technical side of shooting yourself.

In Cold Blood

Sunday, February 10th, 2013

Wikipedia states :

“A serial killer is traditionally defined as an individual who has killed three or more people over a period of more than a month, with down time (a “cooling off period”) between the murders, and whose motivation for killing is usually based on psychological gratification. Some sources, such as the FBI, disregard the “three or more” criteria and define the term as “a series of two or more murders, committed as separate events, usually, but not always, by one offender acting alone” or, including the vital characteristics, a minimum of two murders”

The following images were documented as evidence pre-post mortem, after the suspect – a dachshund known in local crime circles as “The Wah” , was taken into custody for questioning.

Warning :  Photos may offend some viewers.
